Donkey visits 23rd Singapore IFF
Antonio Nuić's family drama 'Donkey' will be screened as a part of Cinema Today programme at the 23. Singapore International Film Festival (15th - 24th of April). Cinema Today brings recent films with potential of becoming future classics. In it, 'Donkey' will be screned along with Lukas Moodyssons 'Mamooth', 'Limits of Control' by Jim Jarmusch, Argentinian film 'The Headless Woman' by Lurecia Martel and Scandinavian box-office hit 'Girl ith Dragon Tatoo' by Niels Alden Oplev.

Farewell to our Friend Kiki
Croatian theatre, film and television actor Ljubomir Kiki Kapor passed away last Saturday, March 13th after losing his battle with cancer in his 78th year. Kapor will be remembered as great actor and long time member of Gavella theatre ensemble, legendary character Picaferaj from popular series 'Velo misto' as well as Đuro from sitcom 'Luda kuća'. Kapors last film role was in Nuićs film 'Donkey'. He will forever stay in our memories not only as great actor but also as a great friend.

'Donkey' Awarded in Bergamo
'Donkey' won Bronze Rosa Camuna prize at recently wrapped Bergamo Film Meeting held annually in Italy. This award shows that Italian audience greatly appreciates Nuić's work as he has already been awarded there for his debut film 'All for Free'. 'Donkey' was recently screened as a part of competition programme of Sofia Film Festival and now it awaits its premieres on several other film festivals.

Donkey and Ciao Mama at Sofia Film Fest
Feature film Donkey by Antonio Nuić and short film Ciao Mama by Goran Odvorčić will be screened at the upcoming 14th Sofia Film Fest (05.03 - 25.03). Donkey is one of 12 films that will run for the main prize in international competition, while former Palme d'Or nominee Ciao Mama will be screened as a part of Best Balkan Shorts programme along with shorts directed by Jan Cvitkovič, Tudor Cristian Jurgiu, Blagoy Kostov and Arzana Kraja.
After Sofia, Donkey will continue festival tour by following schedule: Begamo Film Meeting (06. - 14. 03), Bradford International Film Festival (18. - 28.03), GoEast (Wiesbaden, 21. - 27.04), Neisse Filmfestival (05. - 09.05.), Seattle Film Festival (20.05 - 13.06.) and Espoo Ciné Intl Film Festival (20. - 29. 08).

The Donkey on World Tour
The following winter months will be exciting for The Donkey and its crew. In January, while we wait to see whether Antonio Nuić's feature has made it into the foreign Oscar finale, the film will start it's international tour on one of the biggest US festivals - Palm Springs International Film Festival (January 5 - 18). The end of January is scheduled for two big European festivals - 39th International Film Festival Rotterdam where The Donkey will be screened as a part of Bright Future VPRO Tiger Awards Competition and 33rd Göteborg IFF (biggest film festival in Scandinavia) where it will be screened as a part of Five Continents Section. In March, The Donkey goes to Italy where it will compete in the official selection of 28th Bergamo Film Meeting.

The Donkey Runs for Foreign Oscar!
The Donkey, written and directed by Antonio Nuić will represent Croatia in AMPAS selection process for Foreign Oscar! Nuić's film has been elected in a second round of voting process by seventeen members of Croatian Film Workers Society (HDFD). The Donkey, produced by Croatian company Propeler Film, already won three Golden Arenas (Croatian national prizes) for screenplay, camera and music and Oktavijan (Croatian Film Critics Society award) for best feature film.

Nuić's feature opened Sarajevo!
The Donkey had the honour to open 15th Sarajevo Film Festival main competition programme. After succesful and warmly welcomed opening projection in National Theatre, Donkey's production team saluted the audience (photo bits of that glamourous moment are available here).

The Donkey Awarded in Pula
The Donkey celebrated after 56th Pula Film Festival . Antonio Nuić's feature was awarded with Croatian Film Critics' award Oktavijan for the best feature film as well as three Golden Arenas. Golden Arena for Best Score was handed to Srđan Gulić Gul 'For the melodious score that contributes to the emotional character of the story and to the gradation of relations between different characters in the film'. Golden Arena for Best Cinematography went to Mirko Pivčević 'For the bareness of colour with which he achieved an exceptional lyrical ambience and poetically reshaped the landscape'. Golden Arena for Best Script was handed to Antonio Nuić 'For exceptional talent for depicting complex family relations and for the integrality of unity in terms of dramaturgy.

Donkey gets HBF Support
Antonio Nuić's feature film Donkey, produced by PropelerFilm, is among nine projects selected for 'Postproduction and final financing' support granted by Hubert Bals Fund. The Hubert Bals Fund (HBF), the International Film Festival Rotterdam's fund aimed at supporting filmmakers from developing countries. All nine projects in the Fund's postproduction and final financing category are expected to screen in IFFR's 39th edition (January 27 - February 7).
